Mount Agung Trekking via Pasar Agung
Mount Agung or Gunung Agung is Bali’s highest and holiest mountain as it is believed as the home of the God. It located in Karangasem Regency, Bali, Indonesia. Mount Agung Bali stands 3,142 meters above sea level, can be summitted by physically fit hikers about 3 to 4 hours from Pasar Agung Temple starting point and 5 to 7 hours from Besakih Temple starting point.

Mount Agung Trekking Itinerary
- 08.30 – 09.00 PM: pick up at your hotel, depend on where are you stay in Bali.
- 11:00 PM: Arrival at Besakih Temple starting point.
- 11:15 PM: Begin our trek to the summit and sunrise point.
- 06:00 AM: Arrival at the summit, where we witness the spectacular view and sunrise.
- 07:30 AM: Begin our descent to finishing point of our trek.
- 12:00 PM: Arrival at starting point and boarding car.
- 02:00 PM: Return arrival at your hotel.

Mount Agung Trekking via Besakih Temple
Soaring 3,033 metres above sea level, Mount Agung is the highest mountain in Bali and the fifth highest volcano in all of Indonesia. This is also the home of Pura Besakih, Bali’s most sacred mother temple. The trip up Mount Agung is the hardest trek we offer, but it’s well worth the effort for the incredible views and the sense of accomplishment you get when you arrive at the top.
We offer two different treks up Mount Agung: The Pura Besakih Starting point takes you to the higher western peak, the Pasar Agung Starting point goes to southern peak. The Pasar Agung route is a little shorter, so it is often preferable for people who would like to be picked up a little later. The difficulty and views are comparable, and people who have done both say each route is equally rewarding. From Pura Besakih, trekking begins at approximately 11:30pm and takes about 12 hours in total. From Pasar Agung, we begin at about 2:00am, and the total climbing time is about seven to eight hours.
